Were looking at renovating the far end of a home in reference to the electrical entry, there will be 2 bathroom reno's with new recessed lighting, heated towel bars, electric heated floor and a spa tub. The nearest home run will be approx. 25 meters.
My question is could I run one 10/3 to a small sub panel on the other side of the basement to allow easier access to a service and to eleviate the conductor oversizing that could be needed to cover the distance, not to mention the labour involved in running the 5 -6 circuits needed. Would this still be within code? and if so why don't they do this in some of the larger homes that I have seen that have very long runs from the entry to the far end and then up 2 - 3 floors?
    Thanks.

Yes, installing a sub-panel is a good idea in a case like this.

With the loads you listed, I would use a six or eight circuit panel supplied with 8-3 (range) cable on a 40 amp breaker.

Remember, do not bond the neutral bar to the enclosure in the sub-panel.
